In this blog post, we have done all the planning for you, choose destinations and activities with care, and took steps to ensure safety.
We took a best friend staycation to Legacy West and stayed at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel. I took this trip with my mom because she is my best friend, of course. We dined at Bulla Gastrobar and got manicures/pedicures at Venetian Nail Spa...it was beyond amazing. We layout detailed specs on the hotel, restaurant, spa, tips, and information for visiting the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel. The Renaissance Hotel is set in the upscale complex of Legacy West in Plano, TX. The chic, stylish hotel is within walking distance of top dining and shopping options, with the best of North Dallas and West Plano just minutes away.
You can enjoy Asian fusion cuisine at their signature restaurant, OMA, or gather with friends for light bites and cocktails at Whiskey Moon bar. Our favorite part was the rooftop pool! It is the perfect spot to soak in amazing views of Plano while you enjoy a cocktail at our pool bar.
The hotel rooms are very spacious with pillowtop bedding, high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TV, and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Legacy West!

Traveling during a pandemic requires lots of research, precision planning, and a willingness to adhere to stringent rules. Lucky for you, we did all the research for you! Here are some common COVID-19 related questions we got on our social channels.
HOW SAFE IS THE LOBBY?
The Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel is very thoughtful about how they do business now. In the lobby, they removed several touchable items such as books, pillows, and glassware to minimize cross-contamination. You will also see the staff wearing gloves, masks, and practicing social distancing.

IS THE POOL OPEN?
Yes, the pool is open! The Pool is open daily until 10:00 p.m.The Pool is reserved for hotel guests only, wrist bans are provided to ensure an exclusive experience and allow social distancing between parties.
The Pool Bar is open Friday, 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. Saturday 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. abd Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
We had to wear our mask at all times while on the property. We got to remove it once in the pool area. Pro Tip: The pool is open at 8:00 a.m. I recommend that you go to the pool as early as possible to avoid people and enjoy some quiet time reading a book!
ARE THE RESTAURANTS OPEN?
Yes, but the hours are modified.
The Whiskey Moon Bar is open Friday 4:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. and Saturday 4:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. We went to the bar at 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday night before dinner and had the best time sitting there by ourselves, haha!
The Texas Tea House is a full coffee bar, serving grab and go snacks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the following times:
7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday - Saturday
7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Sunday
7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday
You can grab beer and wine from the Texas Tea House to take to your room too!
The OMA restaurant is closed right now and so is the Club Lounge.
IS THE FITNESS CENTER OPEN?
Yes, and it is so spacious! The Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel mandates that all guests keep a minimum of 6′ distance from each other.
We worked out every day of our stay and didn't see anyone in the space. Tip: Go during off-peak hours for extra social distancing.
DO YOU HAVE TO WEAR A MASK AT THE HOTEL?
Yes!! The Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel states that all guests to wear masks in public spaces.
BRUNCH AT BULLA GASTROBAR
Bulla Gastrobar is a Spanish tapas and cocktails restaurant with an energetic vibe to it. We loved the decor inside and outside. You can sit on the patio or opt to sit inside.
We went here for brunch and tried three vegan options:
Watermelon Salad without the honey and goat cheese
Avocado Toast
Patatas Bravas without the alioi
THE PATATAS BRAVAS dish is so good. Highly recommend that you try it. The spicy bravas sauce that comes on it makes it taste so delicious.
MANICURES AND PEDICURES AT VENETIAN NAIL SPA
We were so happy to be pampered at Venetian Nail Spa at Legacy West. It was my first trip to the nail spa in a long time. We wore masks while we got pampered and so did the nail technicians.
I listed the services we got below. The manicure is vegan! Woohoo:
VENETIAN VOESH MANICURE: (35-40 MINUTES)
Detoxify, deeply cleanse & hydrate your skin with the VOESH spa system (organic, vegan and paraben-free). Includes soaking, nail shaping, and cuticle care followed with VOESH sugar scrub to gently exfoliate away dead skin. Mud mask will be applied to your hands and wrapped with warm towels to remove impurities. Enjoy our soy paraffin wax treatment and a soothing massage with VOESH butter which will leave your hands feeling relaxed and silky. Your choice of color will be painted on to perfection. VOESH manicure available in: Green Tea, Pink Grapefruit, Lavender.
CBD PEDICURE: (25 MINUTES FOOT AND SHOULDER MASSAGE)
Cannabis (CBD) is extracted from the marijuana plant & has been proven to reduce pain and inflammation. Our CBD pedicure from Volcano Spa system will relax sore muscles, restore and even strengthen your weak or brittle nails. A bubbling Volcano eruption spa bath will be prepared for your feet with our Detox Volcano Crystals. Our Organic Sugar Cane Scrub infused with CBD and essential oil helps exfoliate and renew the texture of skin and enhance vibrancy. The Collagen Cream Mask infused with CBD will be applied with hot towels and a soy paraffin wax treatment to draw out impurities while rejuvenating the skin’s appearance. The treatment will be topped off with a deep moisturizing Foot and Shoulder massage using our Collagen Massage Lotion infused with CBD.

Uhhhh..hmm... E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. I enjoyed "All of the things" about this local staycation. The hotel is stunning, LOVED the grass and flower wall setting!, The food options are plenteous, it seems to be a good balance between "play & stay", from the precautions taken to the relaxing spa. This is a beautiful property and will definitely be adding it to the DFW Must Dos!!
