Diner en Blanc Dallas: Table Setting Ideas

Bonjour mon ami! Diner en Blanc is back in Dallas and guess who scored tickets…us!

Diner en Blanc is a chic pop-up picnic event. Thousands of people, dressed all in white, meet for at a secret location for a picnic in a public space. The Diner en Blanc website says, “Over the course of the evening, guests experience the beauty and value of their city's public spaces by participating in the unexpected. Beyond the spectacle and elegance of the dinner itself, guests are brought together from diverse backgrounds by good taste and a love of beauty.”

Remember when we said that everyone is dressed in all white? Well, that goes for your table and tablescape too!

To get you pumped for the event, Annette from The Annette Affect will share some white pieces we are using for our Diner en Blanc picnic table.

Summer is over and Labor Day has passed. Lucky for us, we don’t have to put away those bright whites just yet! We are bringing some of these white pieces with us to the pop up dinner.

Who doesn’t love white?!

Using this cool simplistic color with minimalistic accessories radiates not only charm but rustic sophistication. On our table we have small vases of greenery, peacock decorative pillows and green wine goblets anchoring at each end. The pops of color breaks up the dominant white palette.

The French inspired iron urn centerpiece houses a bountiful bouquet of white hydrangeas. This naturally draws the eye to its magnificent presence. White linen napkins are encased by silver pennies holders.

Slender white candle tapers stand tall in unique white rectangular holders. The simple but elegant greenery was given a lift on crystal risers to elevate their presence.

Each china plate sits in a rustic white scalloped charger to give another layer of dimension to the tablescape.

To wrap it all up, we included two white faux fur pillows on the banquette for a touch of softness.
