My mom and I are trying to take bi-monthly mother-daughter weekend trips to destinations across the U.S. This month we found ourselves sleepless in Seattle.
Seattle was the home to 460 Starbucks shops and several eclectic cafes! The city is surrounded by water, mountains and greenery. The Experience Music Project, The Space Needle, Seattle Art Museum, Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square are just some of the many wonderful attractions.

Pike Market Adventure
Pike Place Market is Seattle's epicenter of fresh produce, specialty foods and independent businesses. Established in 1907 to connect citizens and farmers, the Market continues its “Meet the Producer” tradition with a year-round farmers market, owner-operated bakeries, fish markets, butcher shops, produce stands and specialty food stores.
The first Starbucks store was located at 2000 Western Avenue from 1971–1976 in Seattle. This cafe was later moved to 1912 Pike Place Market after a fire destroyed the store. Hence, Starbucks named one of their roast after Pike Place, the street it originated on.
